Sometimes our outdoor spaces can seem overwhelming so its good to start with a small project that does not cost too much and can bring you instant joy! Plant a herb garden near your kitchen. Mine is planted outside the kitchen window in a raised bed as I have a pesky dog! Need I say more.
Plant herbs you use and label them, you would be surprised how easy it is to get some of them mixed up. Before autumn gather your harvest, chop them up and put in labelled bags to freeze. You will have fresh herbs all winter. **TIP** never ever put mint in the main herb bed as it is invasive. It will take over; so plant in a separate pot to avoid this. (see mine in the corner).
